Founded in 1849, Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum has been the final resting place for many of St. Louis’s notable figures including William Clark, Adolphus Busch, and the Lemp Family. Celebrated architecture such as the Wainwright Mausoleum, Hotchkiss Chapel, and the ‘Girl in the Glass Box’ can also be found on the grounds. The cemetery has a diverse collection of over 7,000 trees and shrub varieties in its arboretum making an enjoyable run/walk through history and nature. The Fox Trot is a nod to our resident foxes who, according to Native American Tradition, represent the spirit of one’s ancestors when seen on a burial ground. Proceeds from the run will benefit the Friends of Bellefontaine mission to support the cemetery’s conservation and preservation efforts and to support educational and cultural opportunities for the community. $25 for Adults age 15+ $15 for Youth 14 and under Participants receive long sleeve Fox Trot logo shirt.
