Rombauer, Roderick William Jr. passed away on Apr 5, 2022 at age 79. Rod was born in St. Louis on Nov 4, 1942 to Roderick Wm Rombauer (deceased) and Eileen (Hogan). After graduating from Christian Brothers College Highschool in 1961, he joined the United States Airforce and was stationed at ICBM missile silos during the Vietnam War. Mechanically gifted, Rod worked for Fabick Cat for 28 years. An expert marksman, he was a member of St. Louis Skeet & Trap Club, a 1985 Missouri State champion, and invited to try out for the 1984 US Olympic team. He trained hunting Labrador Retrievers and was a nationally known and respected judge for the Hunting Retriever Club.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol A. (Baker). He is survived by his son Roderick Wm Rombauer III, daughter Andrea Rombauer (Randall Jordan), and grandson Alistair Jordan, all of Atlanta, GA; his sister Patricia Rombauer McNulty (James); his brothers J. Theodore (Susan) and Arthur Rombauer; his first wife and co-parent Sharron Landis Rombauer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins.
