Kent is 10 years older than I and was returning to college at UMSL to finish his degree. I was 18 and a freshman at UMSL and we made the connection that we both were from Sikeston and had some acquaintances. We even took a trip to Mizzou to check out their vet school and made it back in time for a North Mississippi Allstars concert at Mississippi Nights. He is someone that made me feel at home the first year away from home. He was a gentle, sweet person and very smart in all things biology and ecology. I was just thinking about him and hate that this is the search that I found. My heart is heavy. Kent, you'll be missed even by someone you only briefly crossed in your time. Much love. Stephen Pobst

I remember meeting Kent while he lived in Cape G. I had just entered my hippie phase, in my youth, and for those of you that know Cape, it wasn't a popular look. Kent accepted me as a person and friend. I am forever thankful to have made this friendship. Fly high my friend.

Kent grew into a beautiful human being. I love what he became. He will forever be remembered as loving and caring. He will always be remembered in our hearts and memories. May he bless us by visiting us in our dreams! I love you, my brother! CHUCK
