Karen Joann Johnson, 52, of Des Peres, MO, passed away April 17, 2024, with her beloved father and brother by her side. She is preceded in death by her mother Joann Pope Johnson. She is survived by her father, Dennis Johnson of Des Peres, her brother Mike Johnson (Melissa) of Webster Groves, MO, nephews and niece, Henry, Caroline, and Benjamin Johnson and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Karen was born on November 30, 1971, in Chicago, IL. She had a calling for helping others and had a long career as a nurse, working in the ER, ICU and in hospice. She received her BSN from St. Louis University in 2022. Karen also had a passion for dogs and was dog mom to Flash and Yadi and many others over the years.

Private green burial services will be held at Bellefontaine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to NAMI St. Louis or Stray Rescue of St. Louis in Karen's memory.
