Obituary For Gayle Ann Martini

Gayle Ann Martini, age 68 of St. Ann, Mo formerly of many other places including Midland, MI and originally of Edwardsville, IL passed away peacefully on Saturday October 4, 2025 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Gayle was born on July 6, 1957 in Alton, IL after interrupting her Mom Peggy’s fried chicken dinner.

She was the second daughter and third child of Frank and Peggy Martini.

She was married to Tony Jenneman on September 8, 1990 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Louis, MO.

Gayle graduated from Barnes School of Nursing in 1978 embarking on a 42 year nursing career. Most of her career was spent working in Acute Dialysis at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She spent some time as a travel nurse earlier in her career which took her to Washington, D.C. , New Orleans, LA, Milwaukee, WI and the San Francisco, CA region. She loved being a nurse.

She loved supporting local businesses especially those who supported their community. If they served good craft beer or good food even better. She was a proud supporter of public radio and television.

The thing she loved most was being a Mom to her daughter Lucy who was born in 1994. Even when they were bumping heads, mostly due to their similar disposition.

Gayle is survived by her husband: Tony Jenneman of St. Ann, Mo.

Their Daughter: Lucy Jenneman and her husband Mitch Williams of Overland, MO.

Sister: Becky Krumwiede and her husband Rick of Appleton, WI.

Brother: Tom Martini and his wife Jodi Mayer of Boulder CO.

Mother-in-law: Pat Morris and her husband Chuck of Maryland Heights, MO.

Brother-in-law: Tom Jenneman and his wife Louise of Fenton, MO.

Sister-in-law: Mary Urness and her husband Jim of DeSoto, MO.

Cousin: Jack Spudich and his wife Tamra Coldren of Edwardsville, IL.

As well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews for whom she loved to find fun gifts.

She was preceded in death by by her parents Frank and Peggy Martini of Glen Carbon, IL.

A short gathering will be held at Bellefontaine Cemetery on 15-Oct-2025 from 09:30 until 10:20 followed by Funeral Services and Burial.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lydia’s House in St. Louis, MO. or the Humane Society of Missouri.

    Gayle was an amazing nurse and friend. She loved what she did and taught her wisdom to all who would listen. She had a wonderful since of humor and loved life. I will always be grateful for the time working together and friendship. she also made me smile.
