Diane Marie Row Doyle, 81, of East St. Louis, IL, passed away on June 4, 2024, in St. Louis, MO. She was born on April 23, 1943, in East St. Louis, IL, to the late Ethelbert and Bessie Williams.

Diane, known to her loved ones as a dedicated and caring individual, had a fulfilling career journey. She worked as an LPN in the Maternity Ward at Christian Welfare Hospital in East St. Louis, IL, alongside the same physician who delivered her into the world. Later, she shared her passion for knowledge at the Farmington Public Library as a Reference Librarian. She was also Certified in Handwriting Analysis, showcasing her diverse skills and interests.

In her leisure time, Diane immersed herself in researching the genealogy of her family and delved into the history, culture and religions of the world. When she wasn’t reading, she was growing hundreds of plants and raising many cats and dogs, embodying her nurturing spirit.

Diane is survived by her children, William L. Row Jr, Susanne M. Langston, Robert L. Row, and Deanne M. Row, as well as her daughter-in-law Debby Row, son-in-law Michael Knapp, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John Timothy Doyle, her mother and father, Bessie and Ethelbert Williams, her siblings Rolland, Raymond, Rosemary "Bonnie," and Lillian "Bernice," and other cherished family members.

A private family gathering will be held to honor Diane's life. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the St. Louis Public Library or the Humane Society of Missouri, causes that were dear to Diane's heart. Diane will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will be cherished forever.
