Cynthia “Cindi” Norris, 63, of St. Louis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17 with her children by her side.

She was born September 23, 1958 in Cape Girardeau MO, to Arthur J. and Cecelia I. (Borchelt) Bender. She is survived by her children; Jessica Norris, Kelsey (Norris) and Chris Salmon, her siblings; Tim (Anna) Bender, Linda (Marty) Fowler, and Steven Bender, plus her nephews and nieces; Corey (Maggie Neumiller) Fowler, Hayden Fowler, and Catlin Bender - all whom she loved greatly.

Cindi loved adventure and the outdoors. In her life she earned her private pilot’s license, skydived over 50 times, and constantly sought new hikes and trails to get lost on. She always found beauty in every setting, was an avid nature photographer, and loved to share her passion by leading hiking groups. Cindi also had a kind and charitable heart. She was a foster for Gateway Pet Guardians in East St. Louis, participated in animal transport for rescues, and was a passionate volunteer for Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum.

The visitation will be Wednesday, September 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
