Ann M. Niemann

7/16/1953 – 10/25/2023

Ann Marie (Vismara) Niemann was born the daughter of Angelo & Rosemary Vismara on July 16, 1953. She is survived by her husband, Richard Niemann, son, David (Holly) Niemann, and beautiful baby granddaughters, Ellouise and Marlene.

Ann was raised with her brother and sister in St. Louis County where she completed her basic education, including High School. High School was followed by earning a bachelor’s degree in education at UMSL, then a master’s degree in education from Washington University.

She chose to teach Early Childhood Special Education and loved the work she did. When she became eligible to retire, she left public schools but continued her Early Childhood Special ED work.

Ann lived to the end of her life with her loving husband of 34 years, Richard. Ann and Richard had one son, David. She adored raising her son, and later, spending time with her granddaughters. She felt truly Blessed to be a mother and grandmother!

Over the last 20 years Ann adopted 4 Rescue Dogs. She loved them… despite their shedding. The photo (left) is Ann and a rescue pup, George the Dog. He is a big beautiful boy!

When not working, Ann volunteered for PBS and studied to become a Master Gardener. She volunteered her knowledge, teaching and helping a variety of organizations to grow their own gardens.

Services and burial will be held at Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis, MO, on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.
