Andrew, known to friends and family as Andy, McKim was born on October 18, 1981, to John and Kathleen McKim and departed from this world on August 23, 2023. Andy was beloved by all he met; he was a friend to both human and animal. He is survived by his parents John and Kathy, his brothers David, Ted, and Joe, and his wife Nicole Beckert. Andy had great reverence for the irreverent, a love of science-fiction and horror, in both cult classic films and renowned literature. He amassed a vast knowledge of world history, as well as held a deep appreciation of music ranging from the emergent blues musicians to obscure punk bands. Andy dutifully gave his life to others—in food, in love, and in public service. He will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by all he touched in his too short life.
