Obituary For Alan Lullman

Alan “Al” Lullman, born March 16, 1955, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, after a courageous 9 year battle with ALS. He is now reunited in heaven with the love of his life, Beth Isabel Lullman.

Born in St. Louis County, Alan was raised in Kirkwood, where he graduated from Kirkwood High School in 1973. He went on to attend Westminster College from 1973 to 1977, where he was a proud member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and formed lifelong friendships.

Affectionately known as “Buzz,” he served in the Marine Corps Reserve from 1973 to 1976. Shortly thereafter, he began a successful career in sales within the railcar industry, where he worked for over 30 years with companies including ACF Industries, ARI, and Strato Inc. He was known for his dedication, persistence, and ability to connect with people, qualities that made him both respected and well liked.

Al was a man of strong will, who was always positive and kind and never one to miss a chance to make someone laugh. His sense of humor and larger than life personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

In May of 1979, he married Beth Isabel. Together, they built a life rooted in love, partnership, and family.

He is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his children, Alan, Lindsay, and Courtney, and his four granddaughters, who brought him endless pride and joy.

Al’s strength, humor, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the lives he touched, and the family he cherished so deeply.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association in his honor.
