Basic Research – Free

Free of charge, our staff will gladly look to see if an individual is buried in our cemetery and if so, will provide you with the burial date. To place your request, please provide your information and we will contact you shortly.

Detailed Research – $15

Sometimes families are on a quest for more than names and burial dates. As part of our volunteer services, Bellefontaine Cemetery offers assistance with genealogy and family history searches of our cemetery records. Research requires a fee of $15 per individual, payable upon submission of your request by cash, check, or charge.

Our records usually contain some or all of the following information:

  • Date of death
  • Place of birth
  • Place of death
  • Late residence
  • Age
  • Photos of markers/monuments at the gravesite

Online Burial Search Tool – Free

You can also search our burial database on your own by clicking the image link labeled “Burial Search.” This tool is especially useful for mapping the location of graves in the cemetery, as well as discovering the names of all those buried on a specific family lot.
