!!!!SOLD OUT!!!! We have reached our maximum capacity and are no longer accepting reservations for this workshop. Grave markers not only record the departed’s sorrows and hopes for the afterlife, but also their history, ethnicity, and culture. This interactive workshop begins in Hotchkiss Chapel with a presentation on some of the common symbology found in cemeteries. You will learn the history of the symbols and how they were interpreted in their time periods. After the presentation, attendees will be invited to explore the grounds around Hotchkiss Chapel to search for some of the images presented. Presenters will be on hand to help find the imagery noted and interrupt some details about the life of the person in question.
