Fall is a wonderful time to stroll the cemetery.  This tour will be led by one of the cemetery's Master Guides who will convey highlights of the grounds, horticulture and a variety of intriguing historic figures who call Bellefontaine their last address.  Particular attention is paid to the Horticulture side of the cemetery while the arboretum passes through different levels of color change. During the two-hour tour, about 2 miles of moderate terrain will be covered.  Please wear appropriate walking attire. Space is limited and reservations are required.  We ask that everyone arrive 15 to 20 minutes before tour time for a prompt departure. Join us on a two-mile walking tour over moderate terrain of Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum. Master Guide Dan highlights firefighters, those who served in the military and police officers who are buried at Bellefontaine. Flags will be placed along the way for some of our 10 Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.  Reservations are required. This is a rain or shine event (unless there is lightning).

Spend the afternoon with your kids exploring nature and learning some St. Louis history.  Guide Angela, of Green Spiral Tours, will offer bite size pieces of information on what's below ground at this hallowed place while allowing young ones the chance to take in and wonders of what's above! The cemetery is an Arboretum with over 6,500 trees, butterfly gardens, and water features with playful stepping stones amidst native plantings.
