Cathleen’s Caravan Tour

Caravan Tour Join us for a guided caravan tour! Drive along in your car and follow the caravan led by our Master Guide Cathleen. We will drive to four different locations inside historic Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum. At each location, we will all exit our vehicles and Cathleen will give us a tour through history! First, we’ll visit a U.S. Senator involved in a duel on Bloody Island. Also, we’ll check out the Father of Digestion as well as a Medal of Honor recipient. Next stop, we’ll view the Busch Mausoleum and several riverboat pilots. William Clark’s memorial will be our next stop. It’s a large monument dedicated to his heroic efforts on the Voyage of Discovery. The last destination is Prospect Avenue. This is where the St. Louis movers and shakers of the early 1900s are buried. We will go into the Wainwright and Lemp Mausoleums. Bellefontaine Cemetery is a place to find inspiration and a place to honor life. ♦   Space is limited and reservations are required ♦   Please wear appropriate outdoor walking attire as we will explore different areas upon leaving our vehicles. ♦   Walking terrain is mild with a mixture of hard and soft surfaces ♦   We ask that everyone arrive 15 to 20 minutes before tour time for a prompt departure ♦   This is a rain or shine event except in the case of extreme lightning REGISTER NOW!   MAKE A GIFT Tours are free, however, donations to the Friends of Bellefontaine Cemetery are gratefully accepted.
