  Join us for a special two-hour trolley tour! This Arbor Day trolley tour will focus on general history of the Cemetery with an emphasis on our status as an ArbNet accredited Level III Arboretum! Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum is Missouri's first and the World's 44th Level III Arboretum. BCA’s very own Director of Horticulture will discuss lesser-known and fascinating facts about the trees, plants, and shrubs that all contribute to the urban oasis beloved by so many... today, tomorrow, and forever.All registrants will receive a complimentary sapling (young tree) and gift bag.   This trolley tour is from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. ♦ Seating is limited and tickets are required.♦ We ask that everyone arrive between 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. for a prompt 10:00 a.m. departure.♦ The Trolley is climate controlled but weather-appropriate clothing is suggested as opportunities to disembark from the vehicle are available.♦ Trolley tour tickets are $5 each.   REGISTER NOW!   MAKE A GIFT Tours are free, however, donations to the Friends of Bellefontaine Cemetery are gratefully accepted. CANCELED DUE TO POTENTIAL SEVERE WEATHER Due to severe weather in the forecast for tomorrow evening, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the "Beer Barons, Chapter One" event that was scheduled for 5:30 pm tomorrow, Friday, April 26. The safety of our guests is our top priority. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.   All participants registered for "Beer Barons, Chapter One" will be rescheduled for our "Beer Barons, Chapter Two" event on Friday, May 24, 2024. "Beer Barons Chapter I – The Beginning (Where It All Began)" kicks off our yearlong celebration on Friday, April 26, and this event highlights some of the earliest brewers and distillers that made St. Louis a brewing and distilling powerhouse of the 19th century. Barons highlighted at this event are Ignatz & Joseph Uhrig, Otto Stifel, Julius Winkelmeyer, Edward Hempstead, and John Endres.    Step back in with time with us as we celebrate our resident barons with walking tours though the Cemetery, great food, music, and samples of beer, spirits, and wine. Engage with experts from local breweries and distilleries about time honored techniques of their trades and gain a deeper appreciation of their time-honored craft. Tickets are on sale now! We hope you join us for this unforgettable historic event at St. Louis’s only grand historic rural cemetery of the 19th century, and Missouri’s only Level III Arboretum. Our 2024 Beer Barons tickets are $30 per person per event. Enter through the main gates on West Florissant Ave. and follow the signs to the event.
