Bellefontaine Cemetery’s 2026 Spring Race
Registration is now open for our 2026 Coyote Crawl 5K and Head for the Hills 10K! Enjoy a 5K or 10K run through Missouri’s first Level III Arboretum during the emergence of Spring. The rolling hills of Bellefontaine’s 314 acres will allow a greater appreciation of the 87,000 lives commemorated on the grounds of the oldest Garden Cemetery west of the Mississippi. Participate in-person or virtually.
Founded in 1849, Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum has been the final resting place for many of St. Louis’s notable figures, including Priscila Baltimore, General William Clark, Sarah Teasdale, and Adolphus Busch. You will find world-renowned architecture such as the Wainwright Mausoleum, our historic Hotchkiss Chapel, and the “Girl in the Glass Box” nestled among our 14 miles of roadway. A diverse collection of close to 10,000 trees and shrub varieties dot the landscape, making this a peaceful run/walk through history and nature.

Registration Fees
- 5K in-person race or virtual race with t-shirt and medal = $39.44
- 5K in-person race or virtual race without t-shirt and medal = $18.04
- 10K in-person race or virtual race with t-shirt and medal = $55.49
- 10K in-person race or virtual race without t-shirt and medal = $34.09
Proceeds from the race support the Friends of Bellefontaine and benefit the Cemetery’s community support programs like Angels Rest, historic preservation, and educational tours.
Packet Pickup Info
In-Person 5K/10K – Saturday, March 28, 2026
Check-in 7:45 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Race starts at 8:35 a.m.
Registration for the chip-timed in-person runs includes a race shirt and commemorative race medal.
Packet pickup is on race morning only from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Virtual 5K/10K – complete your walk/run on your own turf anytime between March 14-22.

Shirts and medals will be mailed out after registration. In-Person participants must pick up their bib at the race from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
Awards
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers in the 5K and 10K (in-person only).
