Registration is now open for our 2024 Coyote Crawl 5K and Head for the Hills 10K! Enjoy a walk or run through Missouri’s first–and the world’s 44th–Level III Arboretum while surrounded by incredible fall foliage. Our rolling hills make this closed course a fun and memorable experience as you walk or run through the Cemetery.
We are celebrating our 175th anniversary this year. Founded in 1849, Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum has been the final resting place for many of St. Louis’s notable figures, including Priscila Baltimore, General William Clark, Sarah Teasdale, and Adolphus Busch. You will find world-renowned architecture such as the Wainwright Mausoleum, our historic Hotchkiss Chapel, and the “Girl in the Glass Box” nestled among our 14 miles of roadway. A diverse collection of over 9,000 trees and shrub varieties dot the landscape, making an enjoyable run/walk through history and nature.

In-Person 5K/10K – Saturday, March 23, 2024
Check-in 7:45 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Race starts at 8:35 a.m.
Registration for the chip-timed in-person runs includes a race shirt and commemorative race medal. Register by Noon on March 1 to get your race shirt and medal delivered directly to you. Estimated shipping date is March 10.
After March 1, there will be a limited number of shirts available. These shirts will be available for pick up on race day.
Virtual 5K/10K – complete your walk/run on your own turf anytime between March 16-23
Registration Includes a race shirt and commemorative race medal.
You must register by March 1st to get a race shirt and medal. Estimated shipping date is March 10.

Registration Fees
- 5K in-person race or virtual race with t-shirt and medal = $35
- 5K in-person race or virtual race without t-shirt and medal = $15
- 10K in-person race or virtual race with t-shirt and medal = $50
- 10K in-person race or virtual race without t-shirt and medal = $30
Proceeds from the race support the Friends of Bellefontaine and benefit the cemetery’s community support programs like Angels Rest, historic preservation, and educational tours.
Packet Pickup Info
Shirts and medals will be mailed out after registration. In-Person participants must pick up their bib at the race from 7:45 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
Awards
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers in the 5K and 10K (in-person only).
