Beyond the Gates: 1904 World’s Fair and the Louisiana Exposition at Bellefontaine Cemetery
Home of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, St. Louis hosted the most unforgettable of World’s Fairs. Many of those instrumental in securing the honor and those who were significant to the Fair happen to call Bellefontaine their final resting place. We will discuss David R. Francis, President of the LPE, and Isaac Taylor, Lead Architect of the Fair – we will tell many stories of their impact on the Fair and the region. Presented by Joe Shields.
