Celebrate Arbor Day at Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum!
Our 314 acres are open year-round for visitors to explore but, on this day, we will be including some additional activities to celebrate the value of trees in our lives and their importance to the environment. This year also marks Missouri’s Bicentennial induction as the 24th state into the United States. Trees have played an essential part of our Missouri history and will continue to be part of its future.
Tree Giveaway
From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., our horticulture staff and volunteer gardeners will be available to ‘talk trees’ and answer tree-related questions about the arboretum and your property. We will be giving away 150 bare-root Missouri native saplings to the first visitors. First come, first serve.
Arboretum Walking Tours
Two arboretum walks will be available to discuss trees’ importance to Missouri, past, present, and future.
Register now for the 1:00 p.m. walking tour!
