First Annual Arboretum Fall Field Day Event

Join us for our First Annual Arboretum Fall Field Day on Saturday, October 25th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bellefontaine’s Level III Accredited Arboretum! This free community event celebrates trees, learning, and the beauty of fall. Come enjoy fall-themed light refreshments and snacks, and live demonstrations on tree care (planting, pruning, watering, identification) presented by our horticulture staff and community partners, such as the Missouri Department of Conservation, St. Louis City Forestry, St. Louis Neighborhood Foresters, and others. 

All registered attendees will receive a free native tree sapling to take home and plant! Registration is required to receive a sapling and/or join a walking tour. Guided walking tours of our diverse tree collection will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Option 1: Register now for admission to this event and a free tree sapling. Choose this option if you do not wish to join a guided walking tour. You are free to take a self-guided tour of Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum at your leisure. Register here to attend the event. This option excludes a guided walking tour.

Option 2: Register below for admission to this event, a free tree sapling, and ticket(s) to attend one of our walking tours. You may sign up for more than 1 tour if you would like.

10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Your tour will be led by Horticulturist, Payton Sullivan, who will guide you through the trees and shrubs of our formal garden area, Wildwood Valley Garden. You’ll see many trees and shrubs that are perfect for the home landscape. SOLD OUT!

11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Your tour will be led by Horticulturist, Andy Clubb, who will guide you through the trees and shrubs along the western boundary of the Arboretum, where we are diversifying our tree collection following the removal of many declining mature trees. SOLD OUT!

1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Your tour will be led by Horticulturist, Payton Sullivan, who will guide you through the trees and shrubs of our formal garden area, Wildwood Valley Garden. You’ll see many trees and shrubs that are perfect for the home landscape. SOLD OUT!

2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Your tour will be led by Horticulturist, Andy Clubb, who will guide you through the trees and shrubs along the western boundary of the Arboretum, where we are diversifying our tree collection following the removal of many declining mature trees.
