We are pleased to announce that Bellefontaine Cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
This past July, the cemetery was recognized as a nationally significant example of both rural and landscape-lawn cemetery design movements with an excellent collection of mausoleums and funerary sculptures.
“The National Register of Historic Places is the official list of the historic places worthy of preservation. The National Park Service’s National Register of Historic places is part of a national program to coordinate and support public and private efforts to identify, evaluate, and protect America’s historic and archaeological resources.”
