Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum (BCA) offers a variety of tours that feature the beautiful plants, trees, flowers, and gardens. An Accredited Arboretum

In addition to being a cemetery, Bellefontaine is a Level III Accredited Arboretum and is listed in the Morton Register of Arboreta. The mission of the Arboretum at Bellefontaine is to support and enhance the cemetery as a place of perpetual commemoration and as a garden of beauty, inspiration, and historic significance. Bellefontaine has an accessible and diverse horticultural collection and has become an important natural sanctuary and habitat for wildlife in the urban environment. It is the only accredited arboretum in the city of St. Louis.

Public Tours led by a Master Guide

Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum offers trolley tours and various walking tours, all led by a Bellefontaine Master Guide. Each tour is unique. Sign up today and explore the flora, fauna, and history of the Cemetery. Reservations are required. Times and dates vary, so please see our events calendar for more details.

Specialty Tours

Periodically throughout the year, we offer specialty tours such as Notable Women or the Civil War. Please see our events calendar for details on when these are offered.

Private Bus Tour

Private bus tours, led by one of our Master Guides can be arranged for a fee between $180 and $250. The tour must be scheduled a minimum of two weeks in advance, and there is a maximum of 25 people per tour. Cost is based upon whether a bus or trolley is reserved for a period of two hours. Private Tour

Bellefontaine offers private tours by foot, car, or caravan. These are also led by one of our Master Guides. Plans must be scheduled a minimum of two weeks in advance.
