Steamboat Machinery Manufacturer
Mr. Gaty was the first manufacturer of steamboat machinery in the West. This large circular lot was conceived by him and is enclosed with small alternating stones depicting a different age of man, beginning with the cradle and ending with the grave. On the base of the tall shaft in the center of the lot are carvings in high relief depicting the four seasons of the year.
