DESCRIPTION:Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum is proud to participate in Historic Saint Louis’ annual “A Spirited Holiday Past.” Join us at the cemetery Saturday\, December 3rd\, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Historic Hotchkiss Chapel. We will have re-enactors wearing era-appropriate attire\, special programing throughout the day\, two fire pits\, holidays music\, and roasted Chestnuts grown on our 314-acre accredited Arboretum. \nWe will also have games\, guided general and iconography outdoor walking tours\, and a seated video presentation indoors. Now is your chance to step back in time and take part in activities of the holidays that made merry. Our hosts from the Mourning Society of St. Louis will aid you on your journey to the past by supplying knowledge of games of the past? \n  \nABOUT THE GUIDED WALKING TOURS: \nEach of the guided walks will be one hour over less than a mile of light terrain. \n\nThe general walks will focus on historical stories\, architecture\, and some iconography.\nThe iconography walk will focus on the imagery/symbols on different monuments and their meanings.\n\nABOUT THE SEATED PRESENTATION: \nJoin us for a PowerPoint presentation on those persons associated with the Louisiana Purchase Exposition\, whose final place of rest is Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum. \nDavid R.
